Anna-Caroline Woehr is a veterinary specialist for animal welfare and works at the Chair of Animal Welfare, Ethology, Animal Hygiene and Animal Husbandry at the Veterinary Faculty of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She is animal welfare officer and therefore responsible for animal research at the Veterinary Faculty. Furthermore, she is the president of the international society of livestock husbandry (IGN), head of the working group `animal welfare´ of the German Veterinary Association (DVG) and member of an ethical commission for animal research. Her main research areas are the sleeping and resting behaviours of animals and their relevance for the animal´s welfare. Dr. Woehr is Leader of WP7.
Barbara Schneider is a veterinary behaviour specialist who did her PhD on the behaviour of laboratory rats. During her stay in the USA she conducted research on behavior problems in animals. Since 2008 she has been involved in research and teaching at the veterinary faculty of the LMU in Munich.
